Purple

I'm all written out this week. My professional writing skills have been stretched to their limits and I confess to being just a touch tired out. So, instead of attempting to write something clever or entertaining, I'm just going to post this for Summer of Colour's purple challenge and then go out for a walk in the sunshine!

Brits among you may recognise her, though I'm not sure it's a terribly good likeness. It's Cat Deeley, taken from an advert for jewellery (except I didn't quite get around to painting the jewellery!).

Tootles.

  1. This is great! I love her! and she doesn't need any jewels....she's already jewel toned! It's funny, but as I was eating my blueberry activia yogurt this morning I was actually admiring the soft colour purple...and now this....I think the creative juices are heading in the direction of lavender.

    Have a great Day!

  11. I really like the experimentation you have been doing recently. The textured collage and the Scottish seascape turned out great. Your purple lady is spectacular too. All the extra writing lately must have given you a boost and allowed you to be creative with your art. (Of course we know writing is an art too~)

  12. Since I don't know the 'model', I can't judge how effective it is as a portrait, but as a painting, it's great! The use of color is so brilliant!
